Guilin, 2017: China Hosts Country’s First International Symposium on Global Health Law

In order to further promote the level of global health governance and encourage research in global health law, the 2017 International Symposium on Global Health Law was held in Guilin city, China from July 2nd to July 3rd, 2017. The organizer of the symposium was Central South University, China. The symposium was hosted jointly by the Institute of Medical and Health Law of Central South University, the O’Neill Institute for National & Global Health Law of Georgetown University, and the Global Health Law Research Centre of the University of Groningen (GHLG).

GHLG Seminar Series: Challenges and Experiences in Domestic Implementation of the Right to Health

Global Health Law Groningen is pleased to announce its next seminar.

The seminar entitled “Challenges and Experiences in Domestic Implementation of the Right to Health” will focus on the issues of realisation and implementation of the human right to health in the national context. It will offer an overview of the most common struggles in domestic implementation of the right, as well as presentation of national experiences in Spain and China respectively.

The event will take place on 26 October at 15.00 (end at 17.00) at Van Swinderen Huys (Club Lounge), Oude Boteringestraat 19, ​Groningen.

The seminar is an informal event, aiming at the exchange of ideas and open discussions on the given topic.
